Exclusive  iCRED Reading & Writing

As a professional engineer, I reverse-engineered the SAT to reveal how academic skills are tested. Then, I developed an Extraordinary SAT-Prep Method that provides ‘Memory’ and ‘Application’ strategies: students select correct answers confidently, consistently, and quickly by interconnecting visual Clues, Rules, Errors, and Definitions (iCRED Method) hidden within each SAT question. Thus, iCRED is a fun academic treasure hunt or I Spy game that delivers strong foundational knowledge in Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic. The knowledge that interconnects Clues, Rules, Errors, and Definitions does NOT change, only the questions change from SAT to SAT.

Clue:  transition phrase (for example) in text

Clue:  one period in text reveals one sentence

Rule:  Find Main Clause Subject-Verb pair to determine number of sentences possible in text.

Subject-Verb Pair 1 = The technique is known

               Subject-Verb Pair 2 = Dancers may explore

Error:  NEVER place just a comma boundary between two sentences (Comma Splice).

Eliminate answer choice D since it creates a Comma Splice Error.

Definition:  A transition phrase in a current sentence must relate to a previous sentence, so two sequential sentences are needed.

Eliminate answer choices A and C since they FAIL to support the transition definition.

Question Decode:  The text reveals a transition phrase, whose logical connection must be from the previous sentence to the current sentence (contains transition phrase). Only answer choice B provides a semicolon punctuation boundary that combines two sentences. Thus, placing a semicolon between two Main Clauses creates the two sequential sentences required to use a transition phrase in the text.

The Limon technique, developed by Mexican-born dancer and choreographer Jose Limon, is known for its emphasis on breath control and its interplay of weight and ________ dancers may explore, for example, the moment of mid-air suspension at the top of a jump.
